Aeroplan has fixed or ‘recovered’ the online searching feature. We will monitor closely and report back if anything changed. Also, though I do not want to conspire anything just yet, one of the FTers reported that the Aeroplan agent told him the ‘block’ was permanent.
Recently Aeroplan can no longer allow customers to book award flights from airlines such as Air China, Air India, Avianca, Copa and SWISS. Pekflyer has conducted little researches on this matter.
For a very long time, I have always told my friends that you should NEVER use your credit card points, such as American Express points (Membership Reward points), RBC Avion, or CIBC Aventura because the value you are getting from each point is usually around one cent or less.
